Zatara was the son of two mystics, Zatanna and John Constantine. He joined Batman's Silent Cavalry and, with the team, infiltrated Lex Luthor's Mankind Liberation Front. Once they discovered that Luthor was brainwashing Captain Marvel, they attacked and incarcerated the members.
