After the period known as the 'Five-Year Gap' that followed the Magic Wars, a new Legion team mysteriously appeared, known as 'Batch SW6' because they were believed to be Dominator-created clones of the original team. They were later revealed to be time-paradox duplicates of the original Legion, rather than clones, and were eventually accepted as legitimate Legionnaires.
The Jo Nah of SW6 still had his Ultra Boy powers and costume. In honour of his elder counterpart, the duplicate Jo adopted the same codename of 'Ultra Boy'.
