He was rocketed to Earth as a baby to save him from the planet's destruction, and grew up in the small town of Smallville on Earth as Clark Kent, the adopted son of John and Mary Kent. He became a reporter for the Daily Star newspaper in Metropolis, he eventually married his co-worker, Lois Lane, and became the paper's editor-in-chief. Note: Superman of Earth-Two survived the destruction of his universe in the Crisis on Infinite Earths, and continued his existence into the New Earth universe. In addition, his history continued to be valid throughout the New 52 and Prime Earth eras. Superman was eventually murdered by Superboy Prime.
