In the 853rd century, the Department of Extranormal Operations exists to regulate dangerous, unregistered power icons among the otherwise peaceful people. One operative, Chase, had a crisis of conscience while on a mission, and chose to let a woman go free, who was technically a criminal but didn't deserve to be punished in Chase's eyes. Chase was summoned before the Director of DEO, Skull, but instead of being punished for her betrayal, she was promoted for questioning the job.
