History[]

Jo Nah returned to Rimbor when his girlfriend, Tinya Wazzo, was (apparently) killed in a transdimensional explosion. He Nah was one of the first Legionnaires to join the reformed Legion of Super-Heroes started by Rokk Krinn and Cham. Back in the saddle, he was soon in the thick of things, only to be thrown into the past by Roxxas’ chronal grenade. He was 5,000 years in the past in Egypt and got involved in a battle between Nabu, a Lord of Order, and Asherya, a Lord of Chaos. Nabu won - and returned Jo to his own time, and he flew to Shanghalla to grieve for his dead love.

After that he provided some muscle power in removing the Dominators from Earth. Jo deliberately avoided the SW6 Legionnaires as long as possible, taking no pleasure in meeting his younger version, because of the heartache of seeing the young Tinya. With Earth free, the adult Legion were soon faced with Mordru’s plans for his Universe. Allying themselves with the Khunds, the Legion took on their first Khundish members. Jo was faced with an amorous Spider Girl as well as being the object of the Khund Veilmist’s attention.

No sooner had the Legion managed to neutralise the Khunds and Universo, than Glorith and Mordru reappeared. The two foes had united to control the Universe, which was fragmenting rapidly, with friends vanishing and being replaced by earlier counterparts. Jo had always known of the threat that Glorith posed, right from his early days in the Legion. He made much play of being the dumb jock to avoid Glorith’s attention, and to give her a false sense of being in control, and he was key to her final defeat.

During this final battle Glorith revealed that Tinya hadn’t died at all, but had been displaced in time. Desperate to reach her, Jo tried to find a time bubble, but with the ravages of Zero Hour increasing, it was futile. It was only by the power of the Time Trapper that Tinya was brought to the present and Jo was united with her for one final time.
