Ramon Solomano, aka 'the Hand', was a criminal mastermind who thought he only had one month left to live. He freed a number of criminals from prison and made them his 'five fingers' in order to execute various plots. The Seven Soldiers of Victory formed to put a stop to the heists and defeated the Hand, who appeared to have been killed.
However, he reappeared years later, now calling himself 'the Iron Hand', and fought the Seven Soldiers again, together with the JSA and JLA.
