Goldface was a criminal imprisoned for killing the Green Lantern, Tomar-Re. However, Tomar-Tu got revenge for his father's murder by killing Goldface and left behind only a skeleton that was later discovered by the guards. Some time later Goldface was apparently brought back to life through unknown means and joined Deathstroke's Secret Society.
