Following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, an alternate reality in which magic largely replaced technology, came into existence. Here, Glorith was First Wife of Sorceror-King Mordru, and a powerful enchantress. The people who would have been the Legion were a band of rebels with the belief that the natural order must be restored. Allying with them to increase her power, Glorith conducted a spell to restore the Legion’s and the universe’s ‘true’ history – with some necessary alterations – at the cost of her own life, as the blood sacrifice necessary for the spell caused her to bleed to death.

When history was restored, Glorith’s gains were considerable. She was, as before, reduced to protoplasmic slime for failing the Time Trapper, but her time-manipulating powers enabled her to slowly regrow her body and return to Baaldur, becoming Empress of the planet, and taking the place historically occupied by the Time Trapper, as long-time nemesis of the Legion,

She caused Lar Gand of Daxam, as Valor, to replace Superboy as the Legion’s inspiration. When he rejected her advances, she threw him into interdimensional limbo for 1,000 years. His imprisonment was ended by the Legion, and he joined the team, and a future in which he was hailed as one of the founding forces of the United Planets.

Travelling back in time, Glorith participated in a series of adventures with the younger Valor under the alias of Lori, generating a bond between them that, she believed, would prevent Valor from destroying her. Her plans ran deeper than that, however: she caused the actual creation of the Legion, through Valor’s inspiration, solely to hold back Mordru, the only power in the revised continuity as great as hers. After the Legion weakened Mordru sufficiently, she planned to crush him and become the sole ruling power of the universe.

Glorith’s previous temporal manipulations in the 20th Century created an anomaly in which the Time Trapper was able to survive and conceal himself. He returned and reclaimed not only his own power, but hers also. Returning to her secret lair, the Infinite Library, archive of all chronal knowledge, to replenish her powers again, she formed an alliance with her greatest enemy Mordru, and launched a final assault on the Legion. However, her carelessness caused the creation of her own greatest enemy. Rokk Krinn locked himself into the Infinite Library and acquired all the knowledge therein and became the Time Trapper. Glorith, and that incarnation of the Legion, was wiped from existence by the events of Zero Hour.
