Tal Nahii was born with the mutant power to turn into any form of gas at room temperature, thanks to her parents being irradiated during an atomic accident earlier in their life. She exhibited the ability to transform into any gaseous element at room temperature. She became a member of the Heroes of Lallor (sometimes referred to as 'Champions of Lallor').
The team was at one point exiled from the planet Lallor by a political extremist leader who feared their influence. During this exile, they first encountered the Legion of Super-Heroes, whom they at first entered into conflict with, but later became friends with.
After this, they occasionally assisted the Legion during great emergencies such as when the UP was invaded by Daxamites under the control of Darkseid.
