Ray Sah, aka Flare, a mutant from Rimbor who had the power of solar absorption and manipulation, was one of a group of super-powered thugs sent by the Dominators to try to regain control of the chambers where the SW6 Legionnaires had been incarcerated. The thugs were thwarted by the S.U.B.S.,and Flare was captured by Staq Mavlen, the former Fire Lad.
