Doctor Arthur Light was a persistent but rather ineffective foe of a number of heroes, notably the Justice League. He joined just about every group of super-villains that ever existed, and was one of the founders of the Fearsome Five, which might arguably have been his most successful project.
He has died, been resurrected as a zombie Black Lantern, and died again, eventually being killed by the Spectre.
