Jealous that Wonder Woman was the only Amazon allowed to leave Paradise Island, Dalma removed her bracelets and led a revolt of other Amazons; she escaped the island during the confusion. In the United States, Dalma became a boxer after a policeman saw her impressive strength and durability and introduced her to a promoter. Dalma easily bested any man who dared enter the ring to face her, and won the world championship in short order. Unsatisfied with this success, Dalma immediately challenged Wonder Woman to a boxing match. Wonder Woman, already in attendance, leapt into the ring and knocked her out. She returned Dalma to Paradise Island, where she was sentenced to prison by Aphrodite. Pre-Crisis/Earth-Two
