Thomas Blake's early history was the same (or almost the same) as his Earth-One predecessor.
After a long absence, Catman resurfaced and was defeated by Batman and Catwoman. He spent time in Blackgate Penitentiary, and had some humiliating run-ins with Green Arrow. He spent years training in Africa, and returned, now sometimes heroic, sometimes villainous. He was a member of the Secret Six and the short-lived Misfits. However, he refused to join the Secret Society of Super-Villains.
