He was the grandfather of Empress, a young heroine and former member of Young Justice. After trying to kill his son-in-law and accidentally killing his daughter instead, the Baron relocated to Zandia where he experimented on recreating life with the use of science and vodou. The Baron tried to help Zandia win in the Olympics by killing a competitor, but failed thanks to Young Justice. New Earth/Post-Crisis
