Abin Sur sought out the Larifars and found them on the planet Pendara, where they were stealing the I-Factor from the natives; he captured them and imprisoned them in a green bubble. However, one Larifar, Balzona, was on the planet Orlana. He discovered what had happened to his fellow Larifars and tried to force Abin Sur to free them. However, Balzona's unfamiliarity with the power ring and how it worked allowed Abin to trick him, and he was able to capture Balzona and send him to join his fellows. Pre-Crisis/Earth-One
