While in class as Linda Lee, Supergirl used her x-ray vision to look out for any trouble that she could help with in secret. Seeing an old man drowning, Linda slipped away and, as Supergirl, burrowed under the lake and created a water spout to free the old man. To her surprise, the old man looked a lot younger, but she dismissed it. As it turned out, the water she saved the man from turned out to be a fountain of youth, and her exposure to it transformed her into a superbaby.
After chasing a butterfly, the Superbaby took a nap in the trunk of jewel thieves, Dude and Mojax, who retreated to their secret hide out, which was a cabin out in the wilderness. Superbaby woke up and inadvertently caused a series of events that made the superstitious crooks believe the place was haunted. Through dumb luck and coincidence, the Superbaby's playing alerted the authorities to the location of the jewel thieves and they were arrested without anyone seeing the Superbaby. The effects of the fountain wore off and Supergirl returned to her normal age.
