The first known Lantern selected from within the Vega system since Alisand'r of Tamaran, Altin Ad'ms of Okaara joined the Corps following the event known as the Blackest Night. Reportedly, Ad'ms is of royal lineage among the Warlords of Okaara.
The Guardians of the Universe recently enacted their fourth of ten laws within the Book of Oa, removing the ban from Green Lanterns entering the Vega system.
After the lift on the ban, Altin Ad'Ms was chosen from Okaara to join the Green Lantern Corps. The first time he meets L.E.G.I.O.N. (the former only policing force of the planetary system) he has a run-in with Vril Dox II causing animosity towards the latter. Luckily his new partner, Gorius Karkum calms him down enough to allow their more senior members deal with the issue.
