Stuart lowe was one of three scientists affected by an accident in the future world of Batman Beyond. He gained the ability to become a being of two dimensions making him possible to strech and twist in fantastic ways. He and his partners became the superhero group Terrific Trio.
However the same radiation than give him his powers alo was driving him mad and killing him. Eventually they clashed against the Batman of that time (Terry McGinnis) and were recluded in hopes of being cured.
